Enrolled as an Advocate in the year 1970 with the Bar Council of Delhi and started practice in the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court and District Courts, initially joined the chamber of India’s Top Criminal Advocate, Late Shri Bawa Gurcharan Singh. Thereafter, practiced law independently and excels in the field of criminal law and has handled several high profile cases and also advised on various aspects of law relating to companies, properties, banking, contracts, matrimonial and other areas of commercial law. He has represented the Delhi Bar Association as Vice-President during the year 1996-98 and has served to the best of his abilities and did a commendable work during his tenure and many positive changes were felt in the functioning of the Bar. He has been elected as President of Delhi Welfare Lawyers Association in the year 2006. A staunch supporter of the fundamental basis of natural justice ,Mr. Buttan has held firm that one is innocent till proven guilty and everyone is entitled to legal defense, the cornerstone, in fact, of Indian Jurisprudence.
Himanshu Buttan Graduated in law from one of the most reputed colleges of India ILS, Pune, and Practicing since 2004 in the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court, Specializing in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional and Taxation Matters, he has appeared before various other forums of law such as D.R.T, D.R.A.T., B.I.F.R., A.I.F.R and District Courts. Highly organized and dedicated, with a positive attitude to handle multiple assignments under pressure and consistently meeting tight deadlines.
